(KFGO/KNFL) The Moorhead 14-year-old travel baseball team has earned a spot in the Babe Ruth World Series. The tournament will be played in Fredericksburg, Virginia August 3-13. The group is the first in the history of Moorhead Youth Baseball to qualify for this tournament.
Moorhead is the Midwest representative. Over a dozen teams are in this tournament including international teams from Aruba, Mexico, and Australia. Other states represented include Virginia, West Virginia, Texas, California, Washington, Pennsylvania, Florida, and New Jersey.
Opening ceremonies are August 4, with pool play starting the following day.
