PARK RAPIDS, Minn. (KFGO) – A dog in Park Rapids is being credited with saving his owner’s life during an early-morning house fire.
According to the Park Rapids Fire Department, Jax bit his owner’s hand to wake him.
The owner was able to get out, but by the time firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames and is a total loss.
“Our hats are off to Jax the Fire Dog for getting the save on this one,” the department said.
The Menahga Fire Department assisted at the scene.
