BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – The school voucher bill, which would give state money to some families who send their children to private school, has passed the North Dakota House. The vote was 51-41.
As passed, $10-million in tuition assistance would be set aside for the 2024-2025 school year. Families making up to $150,000 a year could qualify.
The Senate passed the bill earlier with some changes, so it had to be reconsidered by the House. There’s been no indication from Gov. Doug Burgum on whether he will sign the legislation.
