(NDSU Athletics/Summit League) SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State thrower Trevor Otterdahl has been named The Summit League’s Field Peak Performer of the Week for the third time this outdoor season, the league announced Tuesday.
Otterdahl won the shot put and the discus, as well as being the top collegiate finisher in the hammer throw – second overall – at the USD Early Bird. He won the shot put with a mark of 61-00.75 (18.61m) and the discus with a toss of 179-2 (54.61m). His runner-up finish in the hammer came from a throw of 224-5 (68.41m).
This is Otterdahl’s sixth career outdoor weekly honor from the league, his third this season, and his second consecutive.
The Rosemount, Minn., native is currently ranked ninth in the NCAA for the hammer throw and 22nd for the shot put this season.
