HASTINGS, Minn. – A Burnsville woman convicted for her role in the deaths of two people during an April 2021 drag race has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
According to Dakota County prosecutors, Camille Dennis-Bond, 21, and her 17-year-old brother, Leon, were racing at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour when his car collided with another vehicle, splitting it in half. The occupants, 22-year-olds Tayler Garza of Woodbury and Dalton Ford of Burnsville were killed in the crash.
Leon pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree murder in January in juvenile court.
