TRONDHEIM, NORWAY – Governor Tim Walz met the King of Norway, Harald the Fifth, Thursday as he continues his official visit to that Scandinavian nation.
The king and Queen Sonja visited Duluth in October 2011 to rededicate the newly-restored Enger Tower, the historic landmark high on the bluff over Lake Superior which the king’s father originally dedicated in 1939.
Walz was also to give a lunch presentation promoting Minnesota as a destination for business and investment, then hold a meeting with the president of the Storting, Norway’s Supreme Legislature.
There’s an evening reception to celebrate the cultural, business, and military ties between Minnesota and Norway.
