WADENA, Minn (KFGO) – An Isle, Minnesota man who law enforcement suspected of selling methamphetamine was arrested after a struggle with officers from multiple agencies on Tuesday.
According to a release from Wadena County Sheriff Michael Carr, officers and agents from the Sheriff’s Office, Wadena Police Department, and the West Central Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force attempted to arrest Michael Fondurulia, 44, when he became non-compliant and reached for his pockets.
After a struggle, multiple officers were able to handcuff Fondurulia using “pain compliance techniques.” During a search of Fondurulia and his vehicle, officers found a loaded pistol in his pocket, two loaded magazines, over 100 rounds of ammunition, 142 grams of meth, a scale, baggies, and cash.
Fondurulia, who is a felon, appeared in court Thursday was charged with seven drug and firearm-related felonies. Bail was set at $150,000 without conditions, or $75,000 with conditions.
