ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KFGO) – A 17-year-old driver died of injuries in a rollover in Stearns County on Saturday night.
Charlie Boike of St. Augusta died at the scene south of St. Cloud.
Boike was driving an SUV about five miles south of St. Cloud. The vehicle left the road and entered the ditch and rolled.
Road conditions were described as slippery due to weather and precipitation. A passing motorist reported the crash. The motorists and other bystanders who arrived at the scene removed the driver from the vehicle and started CPR. Sheriff’s deputies arriving at the scene also continued lifesaving measures.
It happened after Boike and the St. Cloud Crush hockey team played against Rogers. He was a junior on the team and attended St. Cloud Tech High School.
