BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Authorities have identified the man shot to death inside a Bloomington restaurant last Wednesday.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office said Tu Anh Phan, 49, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Aaron Le, 47, is charged with the second-degree murder of Phan, but Bloomington police plan to seek a first-degree murder indictment.
Investigators accuse Le of shooting Phan because he believed that the victim was in a relationship with his ex-wife. He fled the state after the shooting and was arrested on Thanksgiving in Oklahoma.
Police Chief Booker Hodges said that Le, Phan, and Le’s ex-wife all went to college together.
