(KFGO/KNFL) The Fargo 12U All-Stars’ bid to reach the Little League Midwest Regional final fell just short. Davenport, Iowa took an early lead and held on for a 3-2 win in Whitestown, IN today.
Davenport scored a pair of runs in the top of the 2nd inning. It remained a 2-0 game when they added another run in the top of the 6th. That run proved to be important, as Fargo rallied in the last of the 6th. Eli Schneider brought home a run with a double to make it 3-1. Two batters later, Cormac Nagle, drove in another run with a groundout to make 3-2. Fargo left the tying run at 2nd base to end the game.
Henry Schrum pitched all six innings for Fargo, allowing three runs on five hits. He walked two and struck out six.
