FARGO (KFGO) – One man remains in the hospital after a truck-pickup collision on eastbound I-94 in south Fargo Friday afternoon, where the pickup burst into flames.
The State Patrol says the driver of the pickup, 71-year-old Reed Satrom of Detroit Lakes, did not slow down in time and slammed into the semi, driven by Brant Jacobson, 45, from Harwood, N.D., who was uninjured in the crash.
Satrom and his passenger, 53-year-old Everett Northup, also of Detriot Lakes, both suffered burns and other injuries and were transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Northup remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Satrom has been released.
Other drivers who came upon the scene pulled the injured men from the burning wreckage before first responders arrived.
Four people died in two construction-related crashes on the interstate in Moorhead earlier this month.
