LAKE LILLIAN, Minn. (KFGO) – A Blomkest, Minnesota volunteer firefighter who was leaving his farm for storm-spotting duty died as a result of the storms that passed through west-central Minnesota Thurs. evening.
63-year-old Ryan Erickson was identified by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office as the victim of the storm. Erickson died when a large grain bin was blown over by the high wind and fell on him as he was preparing to leave his farm near Lake Lillian.
First responders discovered Erickson under the collapsed grain bin.
