FARGO (KFGO) – The lawyer for a Bismarck photography company and its owner is criticizing a consumer fraud lawsuit filed by the attorney general’s office.
Fargo attorney Tim O’Keeffe contends that the move is an attempt to grab cheap headlines.
He says the attorney general’s office asserted its own opinions into the complaint which is filled with speculation and puffery. He describes the sudden closing of Glasser Images as a failed business, not an elaborate conspiracy.
The state says it has received more than 500 complaints that total about $1.4 million. Glasser closed last fall citing the pandemic as part of the reason for the abrupt shutdown.
