CASS COUNTY, N.D. April 30, 2022 – Recent precipitation across Cass County has caused a significant rise in river levels, creating the expectation of overland flooding.
The Sheyenne River near Kindred, Harwood, and north of West Fargo will see the most significant impacts. River levels on the Sheyenne River are expected to rise significantly in the next 48 hours, with an expected crest during the day Monday.
- The most significant impacts are expected in the following areas:
- The Sheyenne River between Kindred and Harwood
- The Maple River – southwest of Mapleton to Harwood
- North of West Fargo
- Road closure expectations include:
- Cass 17 north of West Fargo to Harwood at Cass 20
- Cass 20 at Cass 17, at the Sheyenne River, and near Cass 13
- Potential for Cass 16 and Cass 36 between Kindred and Horace
- Cass 22 west of Cass 17
