SHELDON, N.D. (KFGO) – Both drivers were injured, with one arrested for DUI in a two-vehicle head-on crash 2 miles east of Sheldon, ND, on Saturday at approximately 8:15 PM.
Timothy Mark, a 74-year-old man, was driving eastbound and stopped waiting to make a left turn into his residence. Grant was westbound when he went onto the oncoming side of the roadway and struck the Mark head-on. Both men are from Sheldon.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and came to rest, partially in the south ditch. Both suffered injuries in the crash that were not life-threatening.
Grant was transported by Lisbon Ambulance to Lisbon Area Health Services in Lisbon, ND, for treatment. Mark was treated on-scene and then taken by family to Lisbon.
After investigation, Grant was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol by the NDHP.
The crash remains under investigation.
