FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski introduced five new officers during a swearing-in ceremony Monday.
Zibolski also introduced three new crime analysts and three police support personnel to the department, all civilian employees.
The swearing-in puts the Fargo police force at 169 sworn officers. The department is authorized for a maximum of 189 sworn officers in its ranks. That equates to a 10.5% vacancy rate.
The upcoming third Fargo Police Academy has received approximately 95 applicants and will be narrowed down to 25 to 30 students who will begin in May.
