(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins agreed to contract terms with their top draft pick yesterday. Right-handed pitcher Chase Petty of Somers Point, New Jersey was the 26th overall pick in this month’s Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
He was the New Jersey High School Player of the Year and ranked as one of the top high school pitchers in the draft. He will report to the team’s training site in Fort Myers, Florida.
