GLYNDON, Minn. (KFGO) – Minnesota State Patrol Captain Brian Cheney says two tow companies were able to remove the semi and its trailer off the roadway and traffic resumed without a problem. It took nearly 3 hours to clear the problem. The semi-crash was reported shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Cheney says the semi was eastbound when it crossed the median and ended up in the westbound lanes of Highway 10 with the trailer on the guard rail of the Buffalo River bridge. It blocked the entire west lane of the bridge. There were no injuries.
Westbound traffic was detoured onto gravel roads until most of the wreckage was removed. A MNDOT team also examined the bridge but didn’t find any structural damage.
