KINDRED – The Kindred Vikings erased an 8-point deficit after the first quarter and topped rival Oak Grove 51-48 in Region 1 boys basketball on Thursday.
After scoring 20 points in the opening 8 minutes, Oak Grove was held to 28 points for the rest of the game.
Gavin Keller scored a team-high 13 points and teammate Jaiden Peraza added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Kindred.
Noah Swenson tailed a game-high 17 points for Oak Grove.
No. 8 Kindred (11-2 overall, 8-0 Region 1) hosts May-Port CG on Friday.
Oak Grove (9-6 overall, 5-2 Region 1) returns to the court against No. 5 Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich on Saturday.
The Vikings played host to Region 1 rival Oak Grove it was a dandy back and forth with some exciting plays in the end it was the home town Kindred Vikings defeating the Oka Grove Grovers 51-48.
