MOORHEAD, MN (KFGO) – Moorhead Police made an arrest Saturday afternoon stemming from a gun call.
Around 4 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of 12th St. and 5 Ave. S for a report of a man who had just pointed a gun at an occupied vehicle.
The suspect left in a vehicle but then was located by an officer in a parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1900 block of 18th Ave. S.
As officers attempted to contact those in the car, a man exited the vehicle with a firearm, later dropping it and fleeing on foot into the apartment complex.
A perimeter was set up. The man was arrested on outstanding warrants through the Minnesota Department of Corrections. The investigation later led to the man identified as the suspect who pointed the firearm.
Vance Erik Jourdain, age 29, no permanent address, is being held on his warrants and probable cause pending formal charges from the Clay County Attorney’s Office: Second Degree Assault – Felony (3 Counts), Fourth Degree Assault – Felony, Felon in Possession of a Firearm – Felony, Possession of a Short Barrel Shotgun – Felony
The suspect and victims were not known to each other. The incident remains under investrigation.
