MINNEWAUKAN, ND (KFGO) – A Maddock woman has been charged with murder for a stabbing early Monday morning at an apartment in Maddock.
34-year-old Kayla Thumb is accused in the stabbing death of 33-year-old Monte Herman Jr. Herman died at the scene. Benson County Sheriff Ethan Rode says a knife was found in the kitchen sink of the apartment.
The state bureau of criminal investigation is assisting with the case. Thumb remains in the Lake Region Correctional Center in Devils Lake.
