BATTLE LAKE, Minn. (KFGO) – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Dept. has released the name of a teenage boy who was killed in an attack by a family dog.
14-year-old Deon Bush was found dead in the yard of his home southwest of Amor near Otter Tail Lake last Thursday afternoon. The dog was a three-year-old German shepherd, purchased in Poland about six months ago.
Bush’s father called the sheriff’s office and asked deputies to check on his son. The father has a medical condition and was not able to go outside. The dog was shot at the request of family and for public safety.
The animal was sent to NDSU for a necropsy.
