KINDRED – The Kindred Vikings defeated the Hankinson Pirates three sets to none and are now advancing to the Region 1 Volleyball Championship.
For Kindred (13-3), this will be their first time, since 2016, they’ll be playing in the championship. Outside Hitter Abby Duchscherer is one of the biggest reasons for that. She finished this game with seven total kills, including back-to-back kills during the third set. Middle Hitter Terryn Johnson also finished with seven kills and Outside Hitter Kacie Burner tallied up six kills as well.
As for Hankinson (14-9), Head Coach Tera Paulson was named the Region 1 Coach of the Year, however, her squad came up short in this game. Middle Hitter Tenley Evans had a strong performance in this one. She finished the night with eight kills and one ace. However, it just wasn’t enough for Kindred’s even stronger performance.
The #2 seed Vikings will now travel to Northern Cass High School to take on the #1 seed Jaguars in the Region 1 Volleyball Championship. This game will take place on Nov. 14th at 1:00 PM.
