KASSON, MINN. – Admitted double-murderer Lois Riess will spend the rest of her life in a Minnesota prison after being sentenced Tuesday.
The sentence includes no possibility of parole. She had already been convicted of murder in Florida last December, reaching a plea agreement there to avoid the death penalty. She killed a Florida woman and stole her identity while she was on the run from killing her husband, David Riess, at their home in rural Blooming Prairie two years ago.
Lois Riess was taken into custody in Texas last April at the end of a nationwide manhunt.
